The Uhuru Ascent Mission
An Extraordinary Expedition by Disabled Veterans
Brought to you by Freedom For Life
In August, 2006 a team of disabled veterans and civilians will climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. They will literally choose freedom by climbing Kilimanjaro's highest peak, Uhuru, which means "freedom" in Swahili. By accomplishing this task through personal determination and sacrifice, this diverse group of climbers will demonstrate what strength comes from apparent weakness and be models of freedom for generations to come.
This has never before been successfully attempted. Join us on this quest by contributing to the Uhuru Ascent and following the progress of this monumental expedition.
